Angela earned her Certification of Nursing from the School of Nursing of Health in Singapore and went on to earn her Advanced Diploma in Critical Care from Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore. Additionally, Angela earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and then went on to earn her Masters of Science in Nursing from the UT Health Science Center. Angela is certified by the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Angela specializes as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is also bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Armando attended the National Institute of First Assist and is certified in Endovascular Surgery specializing in Cardiothoracic and Peripheral Vascular along with Transplants and VADS, and Vein Harvesting through Open and Endoscopic approaches. Armando has experience working as a surgical technologist as well as a Surgical Assistant and a Clinical Specialist in Endovascular Therapies.

Carl is certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting as a CST/CSFA, and is licensed as an LSA by the Texas Medical Board. Carl earned an AAS degree in Surgical Assisting, and has been assisting in the operating room since 1991. He has devoted his experience to Cardiothoracic assist, however he also is proficient in EVH, including Radial Artery Harvesting. Carl’s hobbies include golf and fishing, and he is married with 2 daughters.

Clark attended St. Philips College as well as Allied Health: Department of Surgical Technology and Allied Health: Allied Health Studies. Clark is certified through the National Center for Competency Testing, TS-C Technologist in Surgery Certification as well as the American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification. Clark has work experience as a Surgical Technologist and a Registered Nurse.

Coby earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Coby is a Certified Surgical Technologist as well as having certifications from the NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant and Texas Licensed Physician Assistant. Coby has work experience as a Physician Assistant as well as being a Primary Physician assistant for a Craniofacial Team.

David attended OR TECH, at the US Naval School of Health Sciences and is a AST Member as well as being NBSTSA Certified. David has experience as a Surgical Technician and specializes in Cardiovascular, Peripheral Vascular, Transplants, and Plastic and GU services.

Eduardo was born in Puerto Rico and obtained a doctorate in medicine from Universidad Central del Este in Dominican Republic. He is currently certified by the American Board of Surgical Assistants and licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a surgical assistant. Eduardo has years of experience specializing in orthopedics, robotics, OB/GYN, and numerous other specialties. In his free time, he enjoys going to the beach and boating with his wife and kids. Eduardo is also a veteran who served in the United States Air Force.

Emil earned a Surgical Technician Course Certificate from St. Philips College and went on to the Baptist School of Health Professions where he earned the title of Licensed Vocational Nurse. Emil also earned a certificate from the Meridian Institute of Surgical Assisting. Emil is certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assist, CSFA. Emil has experience as a surgical technician and a surgical assistant.

Gigi earned her Associate Degree in Surgical Technologist and became a Certified Surgical Technologist from Del Mar College. She then earned her Certificate of Surgical Assistant from Madisonville Community College Kentucky. Gigi is certified under the Texas Medical Board for her Surgical Assistant License and the American Board of Surgical Assistant for her Surgical Assistant Certification. Gigi has experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist as well as Certified Surgical Assistant and was a Lead Cardiovascular Tech in the Congenital Heart Surgery Service. She did many Pediatric Heart Surgeries as well as other specialties in the Pediatric setting. She is also certified in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband.

Gina earned two bachelors degrees from Texas A&M University and completed her graduate training in Cardiovascular Perfusion at Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas. Gina is certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and the American Board of Surgical Assistants as well as maintaining current licenses in Perfusion and Surgical Assisting with the Texas Medical Board. Gina works in all areas of surgical assisting with extensive training in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery specializing in endoscopic vessel harvesting. She is married and has 3 children.

Gume earned a Certificate in Surgical Technology from South Plains College and completed the Surgical Assist Program through Meridian Institute of Surgical Assisting. Gume is CPR Certified and is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants, CSA. Gume has experience as a Staff Surgical Assistant as well as a Certified Surgical First Assistant.

Hallie earned a degree from the Baptist School of Healthcare Professions and went on to attend the Meridian Institute of Surgical Assisting. Hallie is a Licensed Surgical Assistant through the Texas Medical Board, a Certified Surgical First Assistant and Certified Surgical Technologist. Hallie has experience as a First Assist specializing General Surgery, Robotics, Urology, OB/GYN, Plastics, Colorectal and some Orthopedics.

Jeff graduated from the Episcopal School of Perfusion Science located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then went on to Meridian School of Surgical First Assisting in Nashville, Tennessee. Jeff is recognized as a board certified perfusionist and surgical assist through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and the National Board of Surgical Technologists and Surgical Assistants. Jeff is a specially trained Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Vascular assist and also loves fishing, gardening, cooking, and fitness in his free time.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science from Stephen F. Austin State University and went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Elizabeth is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Texas Physician Assistant License, and is ACLS and BLS certified through the American Heart Association. Elizabeth has experience as a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiology as well as a Physician Assistant Surgical First Assist.

Mark earned a degree in Biology and Psychology from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona and went on to earn a degree in Psychobiology from the University of California at Riverside. Additionally, Mark earned an Associate of Science Degree and Perfusion Technology from Grossmont College. Mark is a Certified Clinical Perfusionist through The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion, Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner, and through the National Board for Respiratory Care Registry is a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Mark has experience as a Clinical Perfusionist specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery and as a Chief Perfusionist in Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery.

Mark earned his AAS in Nursing from the Baptist School of Health Professions and is currently working towards a BSN from the same school. He has worked in the OR setting for ten years starting in the sterile processing department. Mark has experience working in Orthopedics, Spine, Peripheral Vascular, and Cardiothoracic surgery. He is married with one daughter and enjoys anything with the outdoors.

Martin earned a degree from the University of Phoenix and went on to attend the Meridian Institute of Surgical Assisting. Martin is a part of the National Surgical Assistant Association, (CSA), as well as the Texas State Medical Board. Martin has experience as a First Assist specializing in open-heart surgical procedures as well as vascular surgery. In addition, Martin has experience as a Certified Scrub Technician and specializes in neuro and robotic surgical cases.

Nancy attended Baptist Health System School of Surgical Technology to earn her Surgical Technologist Diploma. Additionally, she attended Baptist Health System School of Health Professions to earn her Professional Nurse Diploma and went on to attend the American Center for Excellence in Surgical Assisting (ACESA) where she earned her Surgical Assistant Certification of Completion. Nancy is a Certified Surgical Assistant, Certified Nurse in the Operating Room, Certified Surgical Technologist, Certified Nurse Aid, as well as a Registered Nurse. Nancy has experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, as well as a Certified Surgical Assistant.

Peter trained as a First Assist at Meridian located in Nashville, Tennessee and is a recognized CST/CSFA. Peter is proficient in Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting, Plastics, and Robotics including Urology, OB/GYN, and General Surgery. In his free time, Peter enjoys hunting.

Richard attended Odessa College where he completed the Surgical Technician Course. Richard is CPR/PALS Certified, completed his Surgical Technician Certification, as well as a part of the American Board of Surgical Assistants. Richard specializes in Cardiothoracic, General, Orthopedic, Obstetrics and Gynecological Surgeries. Richard has experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician as well as a Surgical Assistant.

Additionally, Robert attended the Community College of Southern Nevada where he earned a diploma in the National Institute of First Assistants. Robert is a part of the American Board of Surgical Assistants as well as being a Licensed Surgical Assistant. Robert has experience as a Surgical Technician, as well as a Supervisor in the CVOR and Autotransfusion.

Ronald attended the United States Army AMEDD Center and School at Ft. Sam Houston. Ronald is a part of the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Additionally, Ronald has been awarded the Army Superior Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Ronald has experience as an Operating Room Specialist and a Certified Surgical Technician and specializes in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Santos joined the USAF in 1983, trained as an airborne Russian linguist and served in Alaska and Arizona before attending the Air Force Physician Assistant Training Program in 1992. Board certified in surgery and emergency medicine, he began working in CT and vascular surgery in 2001 in San Antonio, Texas, then moved to Illinois for 6 years. He has recently returned to Texas and is a member of Surgery Professionals. He and his wife Lisa have 7 children.

Additionally, Sharon earned a diploma from the School of Surgical Technicians from Baptist Memorial Hospital. Sharon is a part of the American Board of Surgical Assistants as well as being a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Sharon has experience as a Surgical Technician, Anesthesia Technician, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Service Line Administrator, as well as a Certified Surgical Assistant.
